Step Into the Past

An oasis within an oasis, Kalāhuipuaʻa is rich with ancient fishponds and vegetation including grasses, succulents, trees and more.

Wander amongst the fishponds, petroglyphs and lava tubes of Kalāhuipua'a, a sacred site with origins that date back to 250 A.D. On this tour, you may learn the legend of the supernatural eel that inhabits the ponds, the meaning behind the name "Kalāhuipua'a," and more.
